-Squire Frederick will spend his Fourth of July at the 89th Annual Summer Meeting of the National Federation of State High School Associations. The Squire's duties will include meeting and greeting guests, announcing the beginning of the ceremony, introducing distinguished attendees, and reading a proclamation.

-The 2008 North American Town Crier Championship was a great success. Congratulations to Bill McKee, who won the event, and each of the 24 town criers who participated. See photos and more from the event here. Learn the background here.

-Squire Frederick appears in the 2007 Advocacy Accomplishments Report of the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network.

-Watermark's Junior Town Crier Championship on Saturday, April 12 produced three winners who were invited to join Squire Frederick in hosting the North American Town Crier Championship in May.

-Squire Frederick is flying high - at approximately 30,000 feet, if you're counting - as part of an Annapolis profile in the April edition of Southwest Airline's "Spirit" magazine. Also, "Coastal Style" magazine features information about Annapolis' 300th anniversary and the North American Town Crier Championship.

-The Town Crier's travels around the City of Anne recently brought him in contact with some folks who aren't afraid to fight the good fight: Maryland Speaker of the House Michael E. Busch and the Naval Academy's Women's Rugby Team.
