Squire Frederick put his experience as a public address announcer to good use on Jan. 27, 2008, serving as the Master of Ceremonies for "Annapolis Alive! Travel through Three Amazing Centuries."
The gathering, a three-hour celebration at Westfield Annapolis, featured a concert with the inimitable Leon Redbone , an appearance by Ravens kicker Matt Stover, and exclusive shopping opportunities. It was the "first major public event in 2008 to celebrate the signing of Annapolis’ charter," according to an Annapolis Alive press release. Other notable attendees included ESPN Sailing Analyst and 1977 America's Cup Champion Gary Jobson, local R&B group Raw Hands, musician Dan Levinson, and members of the Naval Academy hockey team. Guests were surrounded by interactive displays celebrating Annapolis’ success during the past three centuries. |
